The worst idea ever for our oceans

on August 21, 2016 - 10:40am

A Canadian mining company has a license for an insane idea that could become a planetary disaster: the world's first deep sea mine.

We all know how toxic mines can devastate land-based ecosystems -- imagine corporations unleashed to dig up the ocean floor for minerals, far from any scrutiny. It's the last thing our dying oceans need!

The good news is the company is having trouble raising funds. Let's drop an ocean of condemnation on this project, scare any further investors away, and make sure this horrific new threat to our environment dies quickly. Sign the petition, which will be

on September 22, 2014 - 12:00am

Friends,
That was incredible.
More than 400,000 people showed up in the streets of New York yesterday to voice the loudest, strongest, clearest call for action on climate change the world has ever seen. There's never been a march for climate justice close to that size before.
Now, on Tuesday, when 125 heads of state gather to talk about the climate crisis, they'll be doing it with our voices ringing in their ears. They'll be gathering with the knowledge that more people than ever are taking to the streets demanding action, not just words, to protect the future of our planet.
This march came out
